The coupler shown in the above figure uses a Storz type coupler to connect together the fluid carrying hoses.
The curved plates (shown in exploded view) are used to connect the electrical wires in each hose.
The electrical connections are spatially separated from the fluid connections so as to prevent fluid from coming in
contact with the live wires.
